Tell us about yourself. What’s your story/background?
“I came out of my undergrad with a Bachelors in Political Science. At the time, I thought I wanted to work in foreign affairs, and so I continued my education and did a Master of International Public Policy. Unfortunately, this type of policy work was tough to find, which led me to shift gears. I did a semester teaching economics at the University of Guelph. From there, I took a role working with Manulife in government relations and public policy. I was in this role for a number of years and it was here where I was first introduced to the world of Fintech and all of its potential. I knew that this was a world that I wanted to be part of so I made the decision to pack my bags and head out west to be at the center of Canada’s tech scene in Vancouver. I undertook an MBA at UBC with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation and this gave me the tools to speak business to tech and tech to business. This is exactly the role that I play today here at TTT Studios.”
How did you end up at TTT? What were your first Impressions?
“I first came across TTT during my MBA network and I really dug the mission of the company. I met with Jose and Chris a few times over the course of the summer and after a few coffee chats, they reached out to me to consider taking on a role with the company. My first impressions are probably the same as everyone else, the culture is amazing, the projects are interesting and you can feel the energy within the team.”
What is something interesting about yourself?
“I traveled to 20+ countries and I have a goal to set foot on all the continents.”
What’s your most memorable moment working at TTT?
“Unfortunately, not something we have done recently because of COVID, but I really treasure the times we played Werewolf at the office after work.”
What is your secret super power? (something you’re very good at, that not everyone knows)
“From a business perspective, I believe that I am very good at connecting dots and connecting people. Wherever I am, I like to be an information broker and create bridges between people. ”
What do you enjoy working on the most?
“Might sound a bit geeky, but I really do enjoy reviewing and refining our business goals and strategy. It’s been a blast to watch as we mature on the sales and marketing side of things.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“Read, tend to the peppers in my garden, and watch movies. I don’t have a lot of free time, so I like to relax when I can.”
Who do you look up to? (Who is your hero?) Why?
“My father has been a constant in my life and instilled a strong work ethic and a very strong passion for education at a young age. I was taught that education is a door that opens opportunities and this has been true throughout my life. It’s something that I’ll pass on as well.”
