Role Summary – DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a talented DevOps engineer to support our projects with the development of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring dashboards and in general, incorporating services & process automation using AWS. The ideal candidate should be experienced in projects developed using serverless/microservices architectures and has a deep understanding of best CI/CD practices. A candidate with great initiative and creativity would be highly valued within the team.

Job Specifics

  • Developing reliable CI/CD pipelines for clients’ and internal projects.
  • Support team to investigate deployment issues and guide fixing issues and avoiding future mistakes.
  • Ability to develop tools/pipelines from sketch, and maintain and optimize the usability of the tools/pipelines.
  • Closely collaborating with the Frontend, Backend, Mobile, and QA Teams. Contribute to the entire workflow and keep looking for automation opportunities to improve team productivity and work quality.
  • Optimizing developer’s productivity by developing internal tools.

Technical Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working as a DevOps engineer.
  • AWS Certification (Associate level) is a requirement. Advanced AWS Certification is a plus.
  • Hands-on exposure with popular AWS components, such as IAM, EC2, S3, Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, RDS, DocumentDB, etc. Experience in using AWS alternatives, such as Azure or Google Cloud, would be appreciated as well.
  • Experience deploying/supporting medium to large-scale projects in production. Familiar with rollback planning and the ability to stay calm when handling outage emergencies.
  • Knowledge of using Infrastructure As Code to automate Cloud resources provisioning. Terraform / Serverless framework would be preferred.
  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes is a valued addition.
  • Experience in deploying at least one Serverless Backend project.

  • We will set up an interview at our office or via video conference. We’ll talk about your experience, what you think about patterns, architecture, and some everyday situations while developing an app.
  • We will send you a coding challenge! You will be working on CI/CD or IaC related tasks.
  • After receiving the code challenge, we’ll come to a decision.
